A one-man play celebrating the life and music of the legendary jazz saxophonist, Charlie “Bird” Parker, written, directed, and performed by Jeff Robinson.
Robinson is an actor-saxophonist hailing from St. Louis, now local to Arlington. He graduated from Berklee College and having delved into extensive research on Charlie Parker, has his demeanor and influence down pat. Enjoy, not only the soulful stylings of Parker, but the atmosphere he created and the visual of his life in a moment.
The play is set in a bar in NYC in the summer of 1947 and is an intimate floor stage play that allows you to really experience what it was like to be in the room with Parker himself.
