We will read and discuss Tamim Ansary’s well-written and fascinating book,  Destiny Disrupted: A History of the World Through Islamic Eyes. Please join us if you want to explore the historical roots of the world we live in. No knowledge about Islam is expected, just a willingness to learn.

Pre-registration is required.  Email star@firstparish.info to register.

Please read the introduction and Chapters 1–4 of  Destiny Disrupted: A History of the World Through Islamic Eyes before the first class on April 29.

The instructor, Lori Kenschaft, is a life-long Unitarian Universalist with a Masters in Theological Studies, a Ph.D. in American Studies, and a deep interest in Islam. This is the sixth time she has offered this course.
