A Community Wide Discussion About the Immigrant Experience in Lexington

February 25, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
o

Hosts: Matt Allen, Tony Rodriguez

There will be a warrant article presented by Lexington People Power at the Lexington Town Meeting this spring that proposes to make Lexington a more welcoming, inclusive & safe community for immigrants, regardless of Immigration status. Lexington People Power believes that the community should have a chance to hear different sides of this issue and engage in conversation with friends and neighbors prior to Town Meeting. We will have a panel of speakers from various backgrounds.

We will be inviting a spokesperson from the Lexington Police Department, policy makers and representatives of undocumented immigrants to share their perspectives, followed by Q&A with our speaker panel, so that we all have a better understanding in advance of the town meeting.
